Canyon Girl: Ed Wasburn

Little Feather lived alone in the Arizona territory, way out past where most people liked to go.

Living alone meant that she didn't see a need to follow most conventional customs, and usually spent all her time out there naked.

That usually wasn't a problem unless someone travelled through her canyon, and today while she bathed in the stream, there was such a man.

"Well hello there, little lady!" said the cowboy, slowly taking off all his clothes and wading out to meet her. "What are you doing out here all by yourself, and nekid too!"

"What are you doing?" Little Feather asked, blushing as the handsome cowboy waded toward her.

"Well, I'm looking for some of that sweet loving I heard could be had around these parts!" he replied with a grin.

"You would be so lucky," Feather replied as the couple met mid stream.

Then Feather grinned, taking him in her arms and holding him. "I missed you, Ed, you were gone a long time this time!"

Ed laughed, bending low to kiss Feather, and they held each other a moment. "Had a long ride to Texas and back," he whispered, kissing her neck tenderly. "But every day I thought of you."

"You had better have," Feather said with a grin, so very happy to see him.

"You are all I want in the world, Feather," Ed said, meaning it.

Feather sighed and took his hand, leading him home to her camp.

Ed was the main reason she no longer lived with the tribe. They could not accept her love for this white man.

And she was okay with that. Their love was real, she wasn't just a brown side piece for his man. Ed made her happy, and she him.
